Mysore

Mysore was also the seat of the ruling Maharajahs who, on account of their huge princely state and their resulting wealth, were one of the most extravagant of all India's ruling families.
The vast and exquisite Indo-Saracenic palace in the heart of the city where their descendants still live to this day, and also the glimmering white summer palace (now the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel), are just part of the rich historical legacy that remains in Mysore.
