Colombia is slowly emerging as a much sought after travel destination, having been known to the world for all the wrong reasons, be it kidnappings, guerilla warfare or drug cartels.

And rightly so, Colombia is a fascinating country to explore. It is the only South American country with coastlines on both the Atlantic and the Pacific side, it has three majestic mountain ranges, wonderful beaches, snowy peaks and Andean landscapes and extraordinary fauna and flora in the Amazon jungle.

Ancient pre-colombian civilisations whose cultures survive to this day and a graceful and beautiful people, a mixture of African, European and South American indeginous people, cherishing their traditions, are a draw to this fascinating place. It is a country where the people are always joyful, generous, helpful and enthusiastic, which in itself is reason enough for a visit.
